Solution

After intial completion is completed, and the well has been on production for a period of time, the operator may decide to shut individual or multiple sleeves. This can be for a multitude of reasons, the main one being to shut off water producing zones. Since the wells have been on production for a while, there can be debris (sand/formation rock/cement) that gets pulled into the wellbore. With standard BHA’s (that do not have a “clean-out” function), getting down in the well can be challenging, and typically requires a separate mill/motor trip to clean the well out. This BHA is designed with a flow path directly through, allowing circulation to aid in wellbore cleanup. The major benefit is this BHA combines a cleanup trip with the sleeve manipulation trip.
